Peripheral Vascular Disease Pain

Also known as ischemic pain, peripheral vascular pain is caused by lack of blood supply to the limb. One arm, both arms, or one or both legs could be affected by plaque clogged blood vessels.

A pain doctor can be helpful in controlling the pain from ischemic or peripheral vascular disease and is a team member when surgical procedures are indicated. Ask your doctor whether a pain mangement doctor would be useful in providing nerve blocks or helping to control your pain.
